The CMB-102 Nighthawk color infrared security camera features a 1/3" Sharp Color CCD Sensor with 700 lines of resolution and a 5~50mm varifocal lens. Its has 4 Hi-Lumen LEDs and 2 high intensity Piranha LEDs to give this camera a night vision range up to 200 feet. This camera provides full color images during the day and automatically switches to B/W at night to maintain picture quality even in complete darkness.
The 5~50mm varifocal lens allows you to adjust your field of view for your particular need. A 5mm lens setting gives a wider field of view for overall surveillance. Whereas setting the lens at 50mm gives a narrower filed of view but makes identifying objects easier at long distance. The camera's infrared night vision is best designed for long range surveillance. If being used mainly for night vision it is best to use a lens setting of 12mm or higher, since in a wide field of view setting the infrared light will not fully illuminate the outer edges of the image. Comes with a cable management tri-axis bracket and an IP65 weatherproof housing making it ideal as an indoor or outdoor security camera.
