The 8 channel BJ-DVR804-5MP is a great choice when looking to upgrade your existing analog system. The DVR is capable of up to 5MP Lite recording and with its multi-format capability will automatically detect the type of camera so you can mix and match any combination of analog and HD cameras up to 5MP. When viewing or recording using the 1080p cameras the image quality is far superior to standard cameras and the 16:9 aspect ratio matches the HD displays most TVs and computer monitors provide. Setting up the DVR is easy with a user friendly menu and recording options include continuous, schedule, alarm and motion. Image adjustments for each channel such as brightness, hue, contrast and saturation are available along with arranging camera text overlays such as camera name and time and date stamp. UTC (Up The Cable) control is also supported making it easy to access the cameras on screen display menu or for PTZ control right from the DVR through the coax cable. Along with local viewing and playback the DVR can also be connected to the Internet for remote viewing and playback on a computer using Internet Explorer or through Android or iOS (iPhone) devices using the free RXCAMVIEW app. Searching and playback can be done by time and date, all day, alarm or motion.
