The AHD1080-16 HD security DVR allows up to 16 video inputs and 4 audio inputs. Records from any AHD high definition camera and is also backward compatible with standard resolution camera you may already own. When using AHD cameras you can record in 720p or full 1080 at 30 fps or 15 fps respectively. The AHD1080-16 also comes with 16 alarm inputs and 4 outputs for use with external motion sensors or other alarm devices that can trigger recording or sound alarms.

The graphical user interface makes setup, configuration and operation quick and easy. the DVR also allows you to configure each camera channel independently for recording mode, resolution and image adjustments. The different recording modes include motion detection, alarm activated, schedule, or continuous and can be set separately for each channel.

Real-time synchronous playback on multiple channels is also supported along with PTZ control. The DVR uses USB flash drives for quick video backup of evidence files or you can also attach external USB hard drives for backup of larger files. Searching and playback can be done by time and date, individual day timelines or motion and alarm events. Attaching the DVR to a router with internet access allows for live viewing, playback, PTZ control, event notification and backup on computers, laptops and most mobile devices.
