By utilizing the 960H video recording resolution with the more recent 700 TVL security cameras sharper recorded images can be achieved. When using D1 recording you are restricted to around 540 TVL resolution however recording in 960H all 700 lines of resolution are recorded for a clearer sharper image. Another feature of the AD801H is the ability to setup each channel individually for recording quality, frame rate, motion or scheduled recording and even adjust picture color and brightness.

To backup your video files just insert a USB flash drive or USB external hard drive into one of the USB ports. Remote live video, video playback, modification of the DVR setup and even remote video backup are all available when the DVR is connected to the internet and accessed from a remote PC. Smartphone access is also available with the AD801H DVR but remote functions may be limited to live view and remote playback.
